Tip 00: The bit-depth drop-down , in audio device settings, does not remember settings between sessions. If you don't remember to set it to 24-bit each time you open SOL2, any audio recorded will be at 16-bit. This appears to be a bug that was never fixed.

Tip 01: SOL2 has only one setting for where audio files are recorded to, and one settings what they are named (SOL2 of course appends numbers to these). In order to record audio to specific folders organized by project, you have to change the setting manually. And the setting is not saved with the SOL2 project file! Be sure to stay on top of your bookeeping, if you're using SOL2 to record a lot of audio.

Tip 02: MIDI Patch Selections in the track inspector are just for auditioning, and aren't remembered between sessions. You'll need to add MIDI patch change messages to the MIDI track itself, at the start, and for any patch changes later in the song. (of course, VSTi and VST plugins remember their plugin settings between sessions, which is a different matter than MIDI patch change messages.)
